Steno Diabetes Center North Denmark faced the significant challenge of communicating with a diverse audience, including Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes patients across Nordjylland and their relatives. The platform needed to present complex medical and facility information in a simple, accessible manner without overwhelming users or sacrificing user experience for flashy, unnecessary features.

A reflection of the new Diabeteshus
Together with Steno Diabetes Center North Denmark, we developed a web-based virtual reflection of the new Diabeteshus. The objective was to create a visually-driven platform that not only provides a comprehensive overview of the facility and its functions but also integrates seamless navigation through various health services via intuitive hotspots.

It features a unified gateway to several digital services such as video consultations, personal data access, and self-booking options. This setup not only prepares visitors for their physical visit to the Diabeteshus but also enhances their autonomy by providing essential services at their fingertips.

The virtual platform is part of a broader strategy involving five regional Steno centres, each specialising in different areas of diabetes care and digital innovation.
